Nutritionist Huma Naqeeb defends PhD thesis

PESHAWAR: A research scholar, Huma Naqeeb of the Department of Human Nutrition, University of Agriculture Peshawar (UAP) has successfully defended her thesis and declared eligible for the award of PhD degree in the subject of Human Nutrition.
The thesis defense function of the scholar was held at the UAP here on Tuesday. The event was followed by a question-answer session in which she defended her PhD dissertation by answering the questions of the audience in a well-managed and proper way. Faculty, research scholars and students participated on the occasion.
The topic of the study is: “Nutrition-Psychosocial Determinants and Genetic Polymorphism Association with Breast Cancer in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: A Case Control Study” which she completed under the supervision of Dr Zia-ud-Din, Chairman, Department of Human Nutrition, UAP, while it was examined by several eminent professors in China and England.
Here, it is to be mentioned that Huma Naqeeb is a professional nutritionist and currently she is working as Clinical Nutritionist at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Peshawar.
