Fazal Hakim defends PhD dissertation from UoP

PESHAWAR: Fazal Hakim, Assistant Director, Research and Analysis Wing, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, has successfully defended his PhD thesis from the Department of Economics, University of Peshawar (UoP) here on Tuesday.
A function was arranged in this regard at the Department of Economics, UoP, which was followed by a question-answer session wherein the scholar answered the questions of the participants in a well-managed and proper way and he was declared eligible for the award of PhD degree in the subject of Economics.
The scholar completed his study under the title: “An empirical investigation of the efficacy of economic incentives in criminal deterrence in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan”. Dr Sajjad Ahmad Jan, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, UoP, served as his supervisor, while the thesis was examined by several eminent professors in Pakistan as well as abroad.
Apart from faculty, research scholars, students and staff members of the university, the thesis defense function of the scholar was also attended by a number of people belonging to different walks of life.
