Reema Zia defends PhD thesis

PESHAWAR: A research scholar, Reema Zia of the Institute of Development Studies, University of Agriculture Peshawar (UAP) has successfully defended her thesis and declared eligible for the award of PhD degree in the subject of Economics.
The thesis defense function of the scholar was held at the UAP here on Friday. The event was followed by a question-answer session in which she defended her dissertation by answering the questions of the participants in a scholarly way. Faculty, research scholars, students and people from different walks of life attended the function.
The title of her study is: “Comparative Advantage and Government Intervention in Pakistan Rice (Paddy) Sector: Implications for Farmers Income, Trade and Future Policy Options” which she completed under the supervision of Prof Dr Noor Pio Khan, Ex-Vice Chancellor, UAP, while it was examined by many well-known professors in France and Turkey.
