Poetry collection of Dr Liaqat Ali published

PESHAWAR: The book, titled “Sooraj se guftagoo” of the renowned urologist, medical educationist and researcher Dr Liaqat Ali has been published here on the other day, attracted a huge encouragement and appreciation from poetry lovers.
The publication, titled “Sooraj se guftagoo” is a unique collection of his poems and ghazals having narration of his thinking, feelings and experiences about the different aspects of life. The book comprises of 109 poems and ghazals while the number of pages stands at 176. The preface has been written by Prof Shiraz Jamal and Khalid Shareef whereas the Mavra Publishers, Lahore has published the poetry collection.
According to critics, it is the first-ever experience of its kind in the history of Urdu poetry which will always be remembered by the people interested in literature. The medium of the book is Urdu and every piece of poetry has been presented in a very simple, impressive and soft manner to attract more and more poetry lovers.
Here, it is worth mentioning that Dr Liaqat Ali is an associate professor at the Institute of Kidney Diseases, Hayatabad, Peshawar. He has more than 25 years of experience in the field of urology and the allied health sciences while he is considered one of the finest urologists in Pakistan, particularly the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
He has done MBBS from the Khyber Medical College Peshawar and FCPS (Urology) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. Apart from this, he has authored 60 plus research papers which have been published in accredited national and international journals while he has given more than 100 presentations on national and international level. Similarly, he is also the editor of 5 research journals, including 2 international journals.
Beside this, he has performed a large number of complex surgeries at the Institute of Kidney Diseases, especially the surgeries related to complicated kidney stones and cancers etc. Moreover, he is the lead surgeon from the whole Southeast Asia by BCM, USA on regenerative research and by NUST, Islamabad on Nanotechnology.
The services of Dr Liaqat Ali to humanity through his brilliant and amazing medical practice and literature are unmeasurably the most noticeable one whereas his contribution to the field of poetry has earned him national as well as international recognition and appreciation.
