Two scholars of Islamia College defend MS theses

PESHAWAR: Research scholars Khayam Ullah and Muhammad Ahmad of the Department of Management Sciences, Islamia College University (ICU) Peshawar have successfully defended their MS theses here on Friday.
A function was held in this regard at the ICU which was followed by a question-answer session wherein they defended their research works by answering the questions of the audiences in a proper way and they were declared eligible for the award of MS degrees in the subject of Management Sciences. Faculty members, research scholars and students participated on the occasion.
The topic of the study of scholar Khayam Ullah is: “The Effect of Non-Audited Financial Services on Quality of Financial Reporting Evidence from Non-Financial Firms Listed in Pakistan Stock Exchange” whereas the title of the thesis of scholar Muhammad Ahmad is: “Determination of Accounting Misstatements and Capital Market Reaction Evidence from Family and Non-Family Firms Listed in PSX”.
Both the scholars completed their research works under the supervision of Assistant Professor Hamid Ullah and Dr Shahid Jan Kakakhel of the Department of Management Sciences, ICU, while Prof Dr Waqar Alam served as their external examiner.
