Ph.D scholar Hajira defends thesis

PESHAWAR: Bibi Hajira, a research scholar of the Department of Human Nutrition, University of Agriculture Peshawar (UAP) has successfully defended her Ph.D thesis here on Wednesday.
The thesis defense function of the scholar was held at the UAP in which she defended her research work by answering the questions of the audience in a scholarly way and she was declared eligible for the award of Ph.D degree in the subject of Human Nutrition.
Her study is titled as: “Health Potential of Sorghum and Barely-containing Bread: Targeting Biomarkers of Cardiometabolic Health”, which she completed under the supervision of Dr Imran Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Human Nutrition, UAP, while it was evaluated by renowned scientists of the UK and Malaysia.
The Dean, Faculty of Nutrition Sciences, Prof Dr Muhammad Ayub, Chairman, Department of Human Nutrition, Dr Zia-ud-Din, Chairman, Department of Food Science and Technology, Dr Yasir Durrani, faculty members, research scholars and students participated on the occasion.
