Arif Hussain defends Ph.D thesis from UAP

PESHAWAR: A research scholar, Arif Hussain Turi of the Department of Rural Development, Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Agriculture Peshawar (UAP), has successfully defended his thesis and declared eligible for the award of Ph.D degree in the subject of Rural Development.
A function was held here at the UAP on Tuesday wherein he successfully defended his thesis by answering the questions of the participants in a scholarly way. The title of the study is: “Foreign Remittances and their Socio-Economic Effects on Rural Population in Kurram District” which he completed under the supervision of Dr Malik Inayatullah Jan, Associate Professor, IDS, UAP, while it was evaluated by famous professors in Malaysia and Turkey.
The Director, IDS, UAP, Prof Dr Himayatullah, the Chairman, Department of Agricultural Extension Education and Communication, Prof Dr Khalid Nawab, Dr Malik Shafi, Dr Gohar Ayub, Dr Shehzad Khan, Dr Mahfooz Khan and other faculty members and research scholars attended the thesis defence function of the scholar.
