Provincial Quality Control Board meeting held

PESHAWAR: A meeting of the Provincial Quality Control Board Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held under the chairmanship of Special Secretary Health Syed Farooq Jamil here on Thursday.
A press release issued in this regard, says that Deputy Secretary Drugs, Section Officer Drugs, Chief Drug Inspector Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, University of Peshawar’s Pharmacy Department representative and members and inspectors from different districts were among the participants of the meeting.
According to the press release, 36 cases of spurious and substandard drugs etc; were on the agenda of the meeting. In this regard, 15 cases were referred to the Drug Court for trials while permission was granted to register FIR in 10 cases.
The Special Secretary Health while talking to the participants stated that there would be no compromise on the healthcare of the public, adding that Health Department was fully committed to provide quality and standard medicines to everyone.
