New building of Bannu Medical College inaugurated

LAKKI MARWAT: The Commissioner Bannu division, Shaukat Ali Yousafzai, on Monday said that by using the Bannu Medical College (BMC) building, it would be easier for medical students to complete their education in order to continue serving humanity in a better way with a spirit.
He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the new building of BMC in Bannu Township as a special guest. Besides students, Dean and Principal of the college, Prof Dr Hussain Babar and teachers of various faculties of the college, Executive Engineer C&W Hamraz Khan and officers of other concerned departments were also present on the occasion.
He said that all available resources would be utilised to promote further development in the health sector in Bannu division so that it could be self-sufficient in sustainable and long lasting medical treatment. He urged the medical students to achieve success by making the service of suffering humanity as their mission.
“Allah Almighty takes appropriate work from every human being according to his ability and he has chosen you people to perform this sacred duty. Therefore, you should set an example by fulfilling your duties in an efficient manner,” the Commissioner said.
He stated that he was working on the approval of various development projects to cater the needs of the people of the area so that their deprivation could be addressed early, adding that work on Block-A of the college had been completed while arrangements were being made with the top officials of the Health Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for completion of Block-B and other buildings.
