DG, HEC Arshad Kamran defends Ph.D thesis

ISLAMABAD: Muhammad Arshad Kamran, Director General, Higher Education Commission Regional Centre, Peshawar, has successfully defended his Ph.D thesis from the Department of Urdu, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Islamabad here on Tuesday.
A function was arranged in this regard at the AIOU which was followed by a question-answer session wherein he successfully defended his research work and he was declared eligible for the award of Ph.D degree in the subject of Urdu.
The title of his thesis is: “Analytical Study of Devendr Issr’s fiction” which he completed under the supervision of Dr Abdul Aziz Sahar, Chairman, Department of Urdu, Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad, whereas Prof Dr Muhammad Yousuf Khusk and Dr Najeeba Aarif served as his examiners.
Apart from the faculty members, research scholars and students of the AIOU, the thesis defence function of the research scholar was attended by a number of people belonging to different walks of life.
