Ph.D scholar Muhammad Nabi defends thesis

PESHAWAR: A research scholar, Muhammad Nabi of the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences (IBMS), Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar has successfully defended his Ph.D thesis here on Monday.
A function was arranged at the IBMS, KMU which was followed by a question-answer session wherein he answered the questions of the participants in a scholarly way and he was declared eligible for the award of Ph.D degree in the subject of Pharmacology.
The title of his thesis is: “Characterization and pharmacological screening of activity guided isolated spasmolytic compounds from fruit of Rosa moschata” which he completed under the supervision of Prof Dr Niaz Ali of the KMU Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, whereas Prof Dr Jamshed Ali Khan, Head of Pharmacology, Jinnah Medical College, Peshawar was his external examiner and Dr Sami Siraj, Director, KMU Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences was his internal examiner.
Apart from the faculty members, research scholars and students, the thesis defence function of the scholar was also attended by a number of people belonging to different walks of life.
