DC inspects under-construction road

LAKKI MARWAT: Taking serious notice of the public complaints, the Deputy Commissioner Abdul Haseeb Khan paid surprise visit to an under-construction road in Lakki City here on Tuesday.
The Executive Engineer, Communication and Works Department (C&W) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Shoaib Khattak, Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO) Almar Khan and other officials were also present on the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner Abdul Haseeb Khan checked the quality of the building materials and design of the road. He was informed of the cost of the road being set up under the beautification fund (Rs600 million) to be completed within six months.
He expressed his anguish over the deplorable condition of the cleanliness and directed the TMO to start his visits around the city to dispose of the garbages and open the closed drains. The DC warned to not clear any bill to the contractor if the substandard materials were used in the road leading from main Kargil Chowk to Gambilla Bridge.
