Ph.D scholar Zafarullah Khan defends thesis

PESHAWAR: A research scholar, Zafarullah Khan of the Department of Plant Protection, Agriculture University Peshawar (AUP) has successfully defended his thesis and declared eligible for the award of Ph.D degree in the subject of Plant Protection.
In this regard, a function was organised at the AUP here on Saturday, which was followed by a question-answer session wherein he defended his research work successfully by answering the questions of the participants in a scholarly way. Apart from faculty members, research scholars and students, the event was also attended by a number of people from different walks of life.
The topic of his thesis is: “Studies on population dynamics, host plant response and management of Myzus persicae (Sulzer) in potato cultivars in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” which he completed under the supervision of Prof Dr Shah Alam Khan, Chairman, Department of Plant Protection, AUP, while it was examined by several eminent professors in Australia and the US.
