KPIC organizes awareness seminar on RTI

PESHAWAR: A one-day awareness seminar was organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Commission (KPIC) at the Government College of Commerce for Women (GCCW), Arbab Road, Peshawar here on Friday.
The special guest of the seminar was Riaz Khan Daudzai, Commissioner, KPIC while the seminar was attended by a large number of administrative officers, staff members and students of the college.
In the seminar, Riaz Khan Daudzai briefed the participants about the RTI Act and also answered the questions of the students. He said that the main purpose of this law was to ensure the efficient delivery of services to the people in government and public institutions and offices, adding that in addition to enforcing the law, the public’s confidence in government institutions had been restored.
In her address to the participants, the Principal GCCW Fauzia Burki lauded the initiatives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Commission and thanked its officials for organizing the informative seminar.
