Dr Ejaz Khattak appointed as Vice Chancellor, Gandhara University

PESHAWAR: Prof Dr Ejaz Hassan Khan Khattak has been appointed as Vice Chancellor, Gandhara University, Peshawar.
Prior to this appointment, he has been serving as Principal, Northwest School of Medicine, Peshawar and previously Khyber Medical College, Peshawar and after the new appointment he joined the Gandhara University here on the other day.
Dr Ejaz Khattak is a graduate of the Khyber Medical College Peshawar. He has done M.Phil and Ph.D from the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. He is FCPS (Pak), FRCP (Edin) and Fellow of the College of Pathologist Pakistan. He also has done Diploma in Medical Education and Administration and Masters in Health Professions Education from the Khyber Medical University Peshawar.
He remained President, Pakistan Society of Chemical Pathology (PSCP) and General Secretary, Pakistan Association of Pathologists. He twice remained the elected member of Pakistan Medical & Dental Council from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He is also a member of Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan. Besides, he is on editorial board of many journals and is on reviewers list while he is the author of more than 30 research articles published in national and international journals.
He has attended many national and international conferences. He is the author of three books of devotional poetry (Na’at), including the first ever book of Na’at in English titled, ‘Mercy to Mankind’. Apart from this, he has contributed to a book of pathology published by PSCP and is the coauthor of a booklet on chemical pathology.
Here it is to be mentioned that Dr Ejaz Khattak belongs to the family of an educationist. His uncle Prof Pareshan Khattak (Late) had been served as Vice Chancellor of three universities and Chairman, Higher Education Commission Pakistan.
