SWABI: President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan said that the Indian State was committed to the philosophy of Hinduism and the RSS representatives were in power in India who were trying to eradicate the identity of Muslims not only in the Occupied Kashmir but also in the whole of India.
He expressed these views while making a keynote address at the Kashmir Solidarity Seminar organized by the Women University Swabi here on Thursday. The Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shahana Urooj Kazmi, the Vice Chancellor University of Swabi Prof Dr Syed Muhammad Mukarram Shah, a large number of faculty and students were present on the occasion.
The President AJK stated that it was a good fortune of the Women University and the Swabi district that international scientists and academics like Dr Shahana Urooj was the Vice Chancellor of their university, adding that the women were now advancing in all walks of life and the role of women in the development of the country and the nation was an indispensable one.
He said that Indian persecution in the valley had been going on since 1947 and the issue of Kashmir was being effectively raised in international fora and now the whole world had seen the true face of India that it was in fact, an extremist state which was carrying out terrorism in the Occupied Kashmir.
He stated that the Muslim population in Kashmir was being reduced in a systematic way by giving Kashmiri domiciles to Indian nationals. About 45% of the adult population of the Occupied Kashmir was suffering from mental illness, the biggest reason being lockdown and after the Indian move on August 5, the international media and community had been condemning India.
The President AJK said that all of us should become the ambassadors of Kashmir and raise the voice against the Indian atrocities on social media. While addressing the students he stated, “You are the students who will go ahead and take over the reigns of the country. This nation has attached great expectations to you people.”
He added that the international community should ensure a peaceful solution of the Kashmir issue as it was a paradise for Kashmiris and they could not be deprived of their legitimate rights through atrocities and in the hour of great oppression, the people of Kashmir were hopeful for independence and would continue to raise their voice.
