Rizwan Khan, Akhlaq Ahmad defend M.Phil theses

PESHAWAR: Research scholars Rizwan Khan Yousafzai and Akhlaq Ahmad of the Department of Botany, University of Peshawar (UoP) have successfully defended their theses here on Thursday and declared eligible for the award of M.Phil degrees in the subject of Botany.
The theses defence function of the scholars held at the Department of Botany, UoP, which was followed by a question-answer session wherein they answered the questions of the participants in a well-managed and proper way. Faculty members, research scholars, students and people from different walks of life attended the event.
The topic of the thesis of scholar Rizwan Khan Yousafzai is, “Distribution and Population status of Betula utilis in Baroghil National Park, District Chitral, Hindu Kush Range, Pakistan” and the title of the thesis of scholar Akhlaq Ahmad is, “Habitat diversity and Population distribution of Taxus wallichiana Zucc in Kaghan Valley, Pakistan”.
Both the scholars have completed their research work under the supervision of Dr Fazal Hadi, Coordinator, BS Program, Department of Botany, UoP while their examiner was Prof Dr Muhammad Ibrar.
