Usman Ali defends Ph.D thesis

PESHAWAR: Usman Ali Shah, a research scholar of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (CS & IT), University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar has successfully defended his Ph.D thesis.
A function was held at the Video Conference Hall, UET here on Friday, which was followed by a question-answer session, wherein he answered the questions of the audience in a well-managed and proper way and he was declared eligible for the award of Ph.D degree.
The title of his research work is: “Exploring GPU-friendly linear optimization methods” which he completed under the supervision of Dr Suhail Yousaf, Assistant Professor, Department of CS & IT, UET, while it was examined by many well-known professors in Pakistan and abroad.
The thesis defence function was attended by Prof Dr Siraj ul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Architecture, Allied Sciences and Humanities, Dr Ali Mahmood, Dr Umar Usman, Dr Iftikhar Ahmad, faculty members, research scholars, students and people from different fields of life.
