MMI celebrates World Physiotherapy Day

PESHAWAR: Mahboob Medical Institute (MMI), Hayatabad, Peshawar celebrated the World Physiotherapy Day with zest and zeal here on Tuesday.
In this regard, a function was arranged at MMI here on Tuesday in which the Vice Chancellor, Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar Prof Dr Zia-ul-Haq was the chief guest, whereas the Chairman, Mahboob Medical Institute and Habib Physiotherapy Complex Dr Mahboob-ur-Rahman, Director Administration Dr Altaf-ur-Rahman, faculty members, staff and students were also present.
Meanwhile, a cake cutting session was held, while the chief guest inaugurated a free physiotherapy camp, wherein a large number of patients with physical and mental impairments such as special children, polio affected children and patients with pain in joints were provided physiotherapy and other healthcare services by a team of rehabilitation experts under the supervision of Dr Mahboob-ur-Rahman.
The Vice Chancellor KMU while addressing the function appreciated the services of MMI and said that it was a ray of hope for the ailing community in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially Peshawar. He added that he was fully committed to support such efforts of the healthcare institutes and centers and every step would be taken for their betterment and development.
While addressing the audience, the Chairman MMI thanked the VC KMU for his participation in the event and stated that it was his aim of life to serve the humanity, especially the ailing people. He further said that the doors of MMI were open for all and his first priority was the proper treatment and taking care of the patients.
