Inquiry report on Pashto singer’s controversial dance video completed

LANDI KOTAL: According to media reports, the inquiry report regarding the Pashto renowned singer Gul Panra’s dance held at Deputy Commissioner Khyber residence in Landikotal has been completed and sent to the high-ups for further action.
A media report on Gul Panra dance video shot at DC residence some days ago once again stirred up commotion among the locals as most residents and people from various sections of the society were intensely waiting for the investigation report into the matter as to why and how a Pashto artist could make it to the official residence of the DC without permission and remained successful in shooting the whirling video for Tik Tok.
Following surfacing of the controversial video on social media, it invited wrath of the religious clerics and local elders who not only had condemned the act but also had demanded an injury so that the culprits could be put to task.
In this regard, a committee was constituted for inquiring into Gul Panra’s video. She had come from Peshawar three days ago to the historic Khyber Pass and created quite a stir by uploading her dance video which had drawn public indignation and also some welcoming remarks from the local residents.
As per the media reports, soon after completion of the said inquiry, it has been sent to the Chief Secretary, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for further action. When the Deputy Commissioner, Khyber, Mahmud Aslam Wazir was approached, he showed denial about the development and said that he had no idea about the much awaited inquiry report yet.
