Lecturer Zelle Huma defends Ph.D thesis

PESHAWAR: Zelle Huma, a Lecturer at the Department of Plant Protection, Agriculture University Peshawar (AUP) has successfully defended her Ph.D thesis on Friday.
In this regard, a function was organised at the AUP on Friday in which she defended her research work. The event was followed by a question-answer session in which she answered the questions of the audience in a proper and well-managed way and she was declared eligible for the award of Ph.D degree in the subject of Agriculture.
The title of her thesis is: “Survey, molecular characterization and use of entomopathogenic nematodes as biological control agent against subterranean termites, Heterotermes indicola Wasmann (Isoptera: Rhinotermitidae)” which she completed under the supervision of Prof Dr Ahmad-ur-Rahman Saljoqi, Dean, Faculty of Crop Protection, AUP, while it was examined by well-known professors in Turkey and China.
The Vice Chancellor, AUP, Prof Dr Jehan Bakht, Dean, Faculty of Crop Protection, Prof Dr Ahmad-ur-Rahman Saljoqi, Director, Advance Studies and Research, Dr Shahid Sattar, administrative officers, faculty members, research scholars, students and people from different fields of life participated on the occasion.
