Ph.D scholar Sadiq Shah defends thesis

PESHAWAR: Sadiq Shah, a research scholar of the Agriculture University Peshawar (AUP) has successfully defended his thesis and declared eligible for the award of Ph.D degree in the subject of Food Science and Technology.
A function was held at the AUP on Wednesday in which he defended his thesis by answering the questions of the audience properly. Apart from the faculty, research scholars and students of the AUP, a number of people from different walks of life also attended the event.
The topic of his thesis is: “Efficacy of edible coating and thyme oil in reducing postharvest fungal decay of mango” which he completed under the supervision of Prof Dr Majid Sohail Hashmi, whereas the thesis was examined by many professors in Pakistan as well as in America and Italy.
After the defence function, the participants congratulated the scholar and expressed the hope that his research work would be proved more useful for the development of the society, if the government and the authorities concerned pay attention to it in order to go ahead for its implementation.
