ANP threatens to protest, if problems of overseas Pakistanis not solved

LOWER DIR: Awami National Party (ANP) district chapter as well as social and political activists have warned the government of a strong protest if it would not address the issues of the overseas Pakistanis amid the Corona pandemic.
While talking to this scribe, ANP's general secretary Lower Dir Taimoor Khan said that Pakistani workers in different countries, especially in the Gulf countries had been facing too much problems for the last four months but the selected government did not pay attention to them due to which a large number of them died of Corona as they were not being provided any healthcare facilities and their dead bodies were lying supportless under the sky over there.
Social activist Hilal Subhan warned the government and the concerned authorities that if the dead bodies of Pakistanis were not brought from the UAE within one week, the locals would come out on the streets and would stage a strong protest. He added that presently 46 dead bodies of the workers of Lower Dir were lying at Shamsi Hospital, UAE and their families were very worried and disturbed, therefore, the government should immediately arrange special flights to bring the dead bodies to Pakistan.
Wajid Khan, MNA, National Youth Assembly said that the PTI government had left over the overseas Pakistanis alone in this hard time and forgotten that these people had helped the PTI on every front, adding that the government instead of big claims should bring the dead bodies of Pakistani workers from the Gulf counties to give them at least their basic right.
