Govt inter schools sports gala concludes at Landi Kotal

LANDI KOTAL: Sports gala of state–run inter schools of Landi Kotal concluded at Government Boys High School (GBHS), Landi Kotal on Tuesday.
The activity was organized on the basis of self-finance by the management of the schools and the players of eight schools across Landi Kotal tehsil participated in competitions of Football, Cricket, Basketball, Athletics and Badminton. The District Education Officer (DEO), Khyber, Jadoon Khan Wazir was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the DEO appreciated the performance of the students and said that if proper patronage was provided, the students of the government schools were not inferior to the students of private schools in any field and these players could glorify the name of the country.
Prior to it, the Government Boys High School, Zentara got the first position and Government Boys High School, Muhammad Khan Kalley clinched the second position. Similarly, the Government Boys High School, Landi Kotal bagged third position in the games while in Qirat and Naat Khwani contests the GBHS, Ghafoor Khan Kalley received first position.
At the end, the chief guest Jadoon Khan Wazir and the Sectary sports competitions Bahadar Khan, awarded trophies and prizes to winner teams and shinning players of different contests.
