Governor distributes certificates among de-radicalized youth
JAMARUD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman on Monday visited the De-Radicalization Centre ‘Sabaoon’ of the Frontier Corps North and distributed certificates among the extremism affected youth on their successful completion of de-radicalization course.
He appreciated the training courses being offered by the center and making the affected youth to become useful citizens of the country, adding that Sabaoon has emerged as a key contributor in educating and rehabilitating the terrorism and extremism affected youth.
The Governor stated that Pakistan being the sole Islamic Nuclear State is deemed intolerable by the world community and so they were conspiring against her through different means. He said that youth is an asset of the country and the government is committed to providing them opportunities to lead the country on the path of development and prosperity and protecting them from being exploited and used by anti-state elements. He remarked that due to class system and violation of merit the youth desperately indulged in unlawful activities and were being exploited by enemies of the state.
Recalling the sacrifices of security forces and the people in elimination of terrorism and the restoration of durable peace in the country especially in tribal areas he said that due to unmatched sacrifices of security forces and people, the peace was restored.
It was informed that so far 1160 persons had been enrolled at the center and were being rehabilitated while as many as 860 had completed their courses and were living a peaceful and prosperous life.
Inspector General FC Maj Gen Rahat Naseem Ahmed, Sector Commander Center Brig Shahbaz Akbar Qazi, DC Khyber Mehmood Aslam Wazir and other civil and military officers besides families of the youth were present.—APP
