Prof Liaqat Ali presents 25 research papers in int’l urology conference

PESHAWAR: The 24th International Pakistan Association of Urological Surgeons Conference held in Islamabad here the other day in which renowned clinician, researcher and medical educationist Prof Dr Liaqat Ali from the Department of Urology, Institute of Kidney Diseases (IKD), Hayatabad along with his team participated and presented 25 research papers, five video sessions on point of technique, and three plenary session talks.
The scientific committee of the conference acknowledged the contributions of Prof Liaqat Ali and his team as the best presentation in the conference, while keeping his brilliant academic services, he was unanimously selected as the first Director of National Urological Disease Registry of Pakistan.
It is worth to mention here that his two research papers have been accepted in CMR to be held in California, USA in April 2025. This highly academic conference is the most attended conference in the world, while Prof Liaqat Ali has been the sole presenter from Pakistan in this prestigious conference since 2015.
Apart from this, he has performed maximum number of surgeries in IKD and has arranged 25 educational workshops, courses, and symposia in 2024 for undergraduate and postgraduate residents.
While commenting on his achievements, Prof Liaqat Ali thanked the Chairman BoG MTI-HMC, Medical Director HMC, and Dean KGMC for their encouragement and support, and said that he would try his best to play role in strengthening the IKD by providing better services to the ailing humanity and achieving more academic and clinical excellence.
