Establishment of ‘Muhammad Model School’
Editorial
A unit of Pak Army, deployed along the Pak-Afghan Border in North Waziristan has established a modern schooling facility, named ‘Muhammad Model School’ from its own resources for the local children of a remote village to educate them as per international standard as there is no such educational institute in the whole area. On weekends, the school’s building also serves as a home to practical life skills learning for the uneducated youth of the area to make them useful citizens.
In fact, it is a smart solution to address the issue of non-availability of qualified teaching staff in this far-flung area. The school is designed in a way that it provides education and grooms the students up to class 6th with pre-recorded video lectures that can be conveniently played by any senior student of the class. The school is all about mutual learning and social grooming of the future of the country. Interestingly, the ownership of the school has been handed over to the locals of the area, while the syllabus caters for spiritual, mental, physical and emotional grooming of the kids to make them truthful, honest and well-mannered Pakistanis.
Basically, the idea was conceived by the commanding officer of the unit, while he was attending a military course in England. Luckily, on return to Pakistan, his posting at North Waziristan provided him the opportunity to develop this unique flagship project.
According to reports, the aforementioned school has been established on modern scientific guidelines and as per the vision of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that education is must for every man and woman. So, with such a great vision, this school is actually the beginning of a new era of progress and prosperity in the region that’s why all the concerned quarters should support such initiatives to make the future of the nation bright.
Therefore, the provincial elementary and secondary education department should come forward immediately and take this responsibility on its shoulders, so that the future of the local children might be safeguarded by making them educated, responsible, and devoted citizens of the homeland.
