Ashraf Khan Gadoon gets Life Time Achievement Award from KPBC

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council (KPBC) honored veteran lawyer and Baba-e-Gadoon, Ashraf Khan Gadoon with Life Time Achievement Award for his remarkable services in the field of legal practice spanning over 5 decades.
A function was held in this regard at the KPBC here on Wednesday in which he was honored with this prestigious award by the KPBC’s Vice Chairman Zar Badshah Khan and Chairman Executive Committee Syed Mubashir Shah, while the speakers threw light on his wonderful and amazing career.
The speakers said that the legal journey of Ashraf Khan Gadoon Advocate was so admirable that he always stood for the supremacy of the Constitution and rule of law in the country, adding that all the legal fraternity, especially the young lawyers should learn from him to serve the public in a better way.
It is to mention here that Ashraf Gadoon is one of the senior most lawyers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, practicing law for the last 53 years. Starting his career from labour courts in early 70s in Karachi, he moved to his hometown Swabi in 1981 and started practice in the Peshawar High Court in the same year and Federal Shariat Court of Pakistan in 1986. He is also a constitutional expert, whereas hundreds of young lawyers have completed their apprenticeship under his mentorship.
Because of his humanitarian and bold approach, he is considered one of the most genuine lawyers in the country who always stood for the poor and neglected people and pleaded hundreds of their cases free of cost.
Ashraf Khan Gadoon after receiving the award expressed his gratitude to KPBC and commented that he had always struggled for the rights of marginalized and oppressed communities on national and international level and this prestigious award was the best recognition of his services.
