International conference on education held at IER, UoP

PESHAWAR: The Institute of Education and Research (IER) of the University of Peshawar (UoP) and SchoRes jointly organized an international conference on education to offer a forum for academics, scientists and researchers to explore theoretical and practical aspects of education.
The conference was held during February 20 – 22, under the title “Post-Pandemic Trends in Education: Education in Times of Innovations and Opportunities” to provide the participants a unique opportunity to impart knowledge and share research ideas and practices.
Prof Dr Muhammad Rauf, Director IER, delivered his welcome speech, expressing gratitude to volunteers, scholars and faculty members who made the conference possible. He spoke about the unprecedented challenges that the world had faced due to the COVID-19 pandemic, claiming countless lives and devastating the global economy.
He emphasized that the pandemic had also triggered a paradigm shift in the education sector as traditional learning had been forced to transition to online learning, adding that researchers were now focusing on this new field and recognizing its immense potential.
Dr Amjad Reba, focal person of the conference, while addressing the audience highlighted the conference’s objectives and thanked all the guests who attended and supported the event. He told that the conference provided a platform for scholars to share their views and it was very beneficial for budding scholars.
Dr Adnan Sarwar, former professor of the UoP, Rahel Yousif from SchoRes, Prof Dr Zahid Anwar, Pro-Vice Chancellor UoP, Dr Ilyas of the University of Hazara, and many other academicians and researchers also spoke on the occasion.
