Engr Nasib Gul defends PhD thesis

PESHAWAR: A research scholar, Engr Nasib Gul of the Department of Agricultural Engineering, University of Engineering and Technology (UET) successfully defended his PhD dissertation here on Thursday.
A function was held in this regard at the UET, in which he defended his research work by answering the questions of the participants in a well-managed and proper way and he was declared eligible for the award of PhD degree in the subject of Agricultural Engineering. Faculty, research scholars and students attended the event.
The topic of the thesis of the scholar is: “Inducing tolerance against drought stress in maize using Melatonin; its effect on plant growth, biochemical traits, antioxidant activities, water productivity and crop yield”, which he completed under the supervision of Prof Dr Zia-ul-Haq, Department of Agricultural Engineering, UET, while it was examined by eminent professors in the country.
