Scholar Danish Babar defends PhD thesis

PESHAWAR: A research scholar, Danish Babar of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Peshawar, has successfully defended his PhD dissertation.
A function was arranged at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication here on Monday, wherein he defended his research work by answering the questions of the participants in a well-managed and proper way and he was declared eligible for the award of PhD degree in the subject of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Apart from faculty members, research scholars and students of the university, the thesis defense function of the scholar was also attended by a good number of people belonging to different walks of life and congratulated him on completion of his doctoral studies.
The topic of his thesis is: “Representation of the issues of tribal districts in 2017-18: A comparative analysis of Mashal Radio, Dewa Radio and Radio Pakistan”, which he completed under the supervision of Dr Amir Hamza Bangash of the Center for Excellence in Journalism, IBA, Karachi, while Dr Rahman Ullah of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Kohat University of Science and Technology, served as his external examiner.
It is to mention here that Danish Babar is working as Director, Creative Wing, Information and Public Relations Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Prior to this, he was communication manager at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board, whereas he has also worked at different national and international media organizations as a reporter, writer and producer.
